Like The Sound of a Drum

Part theory and part storytelling narrative, the author examines the methods employed by the Dene of Fort Simpson and Fort Good Hope in the Northwest Territories and the Inuit community of Pangnirtung (Panniqtuuq) in Nunavut, to overcome the challenges of colonizing governmental structures and achieve their preferred form of self-government.
